表現自己用英語怎麼說

同一個意思有多種表達方式，是任何一門語言的特點，也是學習熟練度的一個判斷依據，就像在英語中要表達謝謝，除了常見的 thank you，其實還有很多其他表達方式，如 thanks a lot 和 thanks a million 等等。

在英語中表達“失去控制”，最常見的表達方式是 out of control，lose control (of) ，have no control over 和 beyond control，其中 out of control 常與 be，get 或 run 連用，例如：

out of control：

The real estate market in this city is totally out of control。

這個城市的房地產市場完全失控了。

I‘m sorry for the way I acted last night。 I had too much to drink and got a little out of control。

我為我昨晚的行為感到抱歉。我喝多了，有點失控。

A truck ran out of control on the hill。

一輛卡車在山上失去了控制。

lose control：

The minute you do this， you’ll lose control。

你一旦做了這件事，就會失去控制。

People lose control of the

time

they spend on the Internet。

人們不能控制他們在網路上所花費的時間。

have no control over：

The teacher had no control over the children。

那位老師管不住學生。

I have no control over where he decides to live。

他決定住哪裡，我無法控制。

beyond control：

The children were beyond control。

這些孩子不聽管束。

The situation is beyond our control。

我們已無法控制這一局面。

表示身體部位的單詞短語常被用作比喻意義，如 red-handed 和 pay lip service 等等。失去控制也可以用一個跟身體部位有關的短語來表示，那就是 out of hand，其中的 hand 跟前面兩個的用法類似，例如：

red-handed

現場抓獲的

The murderer was caught red-handed。

兇手當場被抓獲了。

（pay） lip service 口惠無實

Is this a real promise， or is this just lip service？

這是一個真正的承諾，還是隻是口頭上的承諾？

out of hand 失去控制

Things got a little out of hand at the party and three windows were broken。

聚會上情況有點失控，三扇窗戶被打破了。

He went to see his doctor

because

he felt his drinking was getting out of hand。

他去看醫生，因為他覺得他的酒量失控了。

Their kids need some discipline， they are getting completely out of hand。

他們的孩子需要一些管教，他們完全失控了。

Two of the children started fighting in the playground yesterday。 It wasn’t long before it all got out of hand。

昨天有兩個孩子開始在操場上打架。沒過多久一切就失控了。

類似的習語數不勝數。由此可見英語知識遠比我們想象的階段知識來得豐富多彩，我們平時要多積累學習。那麼在”控制之中“怎麼表達呢？

control 常與介詞 in 或 under 連用來表示在控制當中或處於掌控中，或者我們還可以用 have control of (over) sth，例如：

under control：

The situation is under control。

局勢已經得到控制。

It took two hours to bring the fire under control。

花了兩個小時才控制住火勢。

I‘ve got everything under control。

一切都已在我控制之中。

in control （of）：

Who’s in control here？ I want to talk to the ranking officer。

這裡誰負責？我想和高階軍官談談。

Your mother was terrified when she first learned to drive， but now she is completely in control behind the wheel。

你媽媽剛學會開車時很害怕，但現在她完全掌握了方向盤。

have control of （over） sth：

Some

teachers have more control over pupils than their parents have。

有的老師比小學生的父母更能管得住他們。

Parents should not have control over their children。

父母不應該控制他們的孩子。

那麼如何表達能否控制住呢？我們常用動詞 get，keep 和 bring 來表示控制得住或不造成傷害，例如：

Please keep your dog under control！

請管好你的狗！

It took two hours to bring the fire under control。

花了兩個小時才控制住火勢。

Firemen said they had the blaze under control。

消防隊員說他們已經控制住了火勢。

就像上面提到的，英語很多單詞都有很多的用法，它們不但有多詞性，而且意思還豐富多彩，就像家喻戶曉的 free，它常被用作形容詞，表示自由的，但實際上它還可以用作動詞。

因此在實際的學習中要根據自己的能力，透過重學已經學會的單詞使自己的詞彙量“增加”。大家都知道的用法不常考，只是額外的努力讓你獨樹一幟。
