another/other/more

名詞前表示具有增加意義的“還、再”，一般用 more 和 another.

another 位於數詞或 few 引導的複數名詞之前。

“another + 數詞 + 複數名詞”

more 多與 these, some, many, much, any和數詞連用位於其後。

“數詞 + more + 複數名詞”

有時也可以用 other， 但 other 具有“不同”之意。保留它本意“別的”。

one more thing， one other thing， another thing 都表示“還有一件事”之意，如：

I want three more / other pens。 =

I want another three pens。

我還要三支鋼筆。

They need six more / another six hands to do the job。

他們還需要六個人做這項工作。（這裡不用other ， 因不強調人與人的不同。）

We stayed there for five more days。 =

We stayed there for another five days。

我們在那兒又呆了五天。（這裡不用 other， 因day 與 day 沒有不同之意）。

She works on the Great Green Wall with many other people。

她與別的許多人一塊在綠色長城上工作。

（ other 沒有增加之意，表除自己以外的別的人。）
