今天分享一個繪本，可以在學習數學知識： 奇數偶數的話題時進行配套閱讀，也可以作為日常的閱讀材料。

Missing Mittens

失蹤的手套

Farmer Bill was shivering。

農夫比爾顫抖著。

Snow was in the air。

空中飄著雪。

He looked out on the stormy day and wondered what to wear。

他在暴風雨天望著外面，不知道該穿什麼。

“Long underwear！” said Bill。

“長內衣！”比爾說。

“And my brand-new coat。 I’ll get my hat and scarf and earmuffs。 But I’m not ready yet。 ”

“還有我的新外套。 我去拿我的帽子，圍巾和耳套。 但我還沒準備好。”

“Where are my two mittens？”

“我的兩隻手套呢？”

Only one was there。

只有一隻在那裡。

Just one odd mitten by itself。。。

One mitten’s not a pair。

一副手套不是一副。

Bill went out to milk his cow，

比爾出去擠牛奶，

as cold as she could be。

They looked for her four mittens， but there were only three。

他們找了她的四隻手套，但只有三隻。

Only three odd mittens-they couldn’t find one more。

只有三副奇數手套——他們再也找不到一副了。

Any cow needs more than three；

任何一頭牛都需要超過三副；

she needs an even four。

Next were his three chickens。

They were huddled in their pen。

They wished they had six mittens-two mittens for each hen。

Bill looked and found five mittens， but they really needed six。

Seven mittens for eight hooves——”How very odd！” said Bill。

How could they be found？

“A mitten thief has been here！”

“有個偷手套的賊來過這裡！”

Bill scratched his head and frowned。

We must get back our mittens！

Hey， what is that goat doing？

嘿，那隻山羊在幹什麼？

This is no time for breakfast but it looks like he is。。。

現在不是吃早飯的時間，但看起來他……

Now every hand and foot and hoof was snug and toasty warm。

現在每隻手、每隻腳、每隻蹄都溫暖舒適。

And everything was fine again-

一切又恢復正常了

until the next big storm。
