搖下車窗

如果是開啟家裡的窗戶，open the window這個說法絕對沒問題，但開啟車窗不能這麼翻譯。

因為原先車窗都是需要我們手動搖下來，車上有相應的按鈕或把手，不像家裡門窗可以直接用手拉開，而是上下移動開合。所以開關車窗不應該說open和close，而要用roll。

roll sth up （轉動把手）關閉

roll up the window 搖上車窗；關上車窗

roll sth down 搖開；旋開

roll down the window （轉動把手）搖下車窗；開啟車窗

例：

Could you roll down the window？I feel a little dizzy。

你能開下車窗嗎？我現在有點頭暈。

“透透氣”用英語怎麼說？

開窗是為了透氣，促進空氣流通，我想出去透氣是I want to breathe fresh air嗎？這樣翻譯就太囉嗦了。

其實，透氣的英文表達非常簡單，常用的有下面幾種。

need some air/get some air 透透氣

想去透氣直接用need some air和get some air就可以了，這也是最常見的表達。

breathable ［ˈbriːðəbl］ 透氣的

多形容可以透氣的衣服布料。

ventilate ［ˈventɪleɪt］ 通風；通氣

表示讓房間等建築物通風，well-ventilated room就是通風良好的房間。

let in some air 透透氣

let in是允許進入的意思，let in some air就是讓空氣進來，也就是透氣。

例：

The boring task makes me drowsy， maybe I need some air。

無聊的工作任務讓我昏昏欲睡，也許我得去透透氣了。

8Slow down

減速

例：

Slow down！ You’re driving too fast。

慢點 你開太快了。

9Pull in

移到路邊

例：

We pulled in at the side of the road。

我們把車停在路邊。
