and to be yourself is all that you can do！

“做真實的自己”除了上面的 just be yourself 外，在英文中還有另外一個表達是“let your hair down”。

這一說法源自19世紀，描繪出一幅可愛的畫面。過去，西方女子很多都留長頭髮，出去應酬時把頭髮盤在頭上梳出各種式樣來。晚上回家後，她們就把髮卡一個個地從頭髮裡拿出來，讓頭髮很自然地披在肩上。

to let one’s hair down 的實質意思也就是解除表面的裝飾，使一切顯得很自然、真實和放鬆。後來，“let your hair down”（把頭髮散開）就用來表示“放鬆、展現真實的自己”。

1。 to let one‘s hair down 不一定用在女性上，男性同樣可以用！例如：

the president has to make so many official appearances that he seldom gets a chance to let his hair down and enjoy life like ordinary people。

總統要出席許多公開場合，因此他很少有機會像普通老百姓那樣輕鬆地享受生活。

2。 to let one’s hair down 也可以用在朋友之間，就像下面這個例子一樣：

sally， we‘ve been good friends for a long time。 but lately i get the idea you are very much upset with me。 i wish you’d let your hair down and tell me what‘s wrong to make you feel this way。

薩莉，我們多年來一直是好朋友，可是最近我感到你對我非常不高興。我希望你能夠坦率地告訴我，到底是哪些事讓你這麼不高興。
