《小狗太小了》

“I’m too small！” wailed Puppy， ”

I can’t reach the doorknob。”

“我太小了！”小狗哭著說，

“我夠不到門把手。”

“But you can reach the cookies on the table。” said Mouse。

“Please share one with me。”

And Puppy did。

“但是你可以夠到桌子上的餅乾。”小老鼠說。

“請分給我一塊。”

小狗就那麼做了。

“I’m too small！” wailed Puppy。

“I can’t pull my toy box。”

“我太小了！”小狗哭著說。

“我拽不動我的玩具箱子”

“But you can pull my wagon full of dear ones，”

Mrs。 Bunny said。 “Would you？”

And Puppy did。

“但是你能拽動裝滿我的寶貝的推車，”

兔子太太說。“可以嗎？”

小狗就那麼做了。

“I’m too small！” wailed Puppy。

“I can’t climb the tree。”

“我太小了！”小狗哭著說。

“我爬不上這棵樹。”

“But you can swing from it，” said Squirrel。

“Please swing with me。”

And Puppy did。

“但是你可以在上面盪鞦韆，”松鼠說。

“請和我一起盪鞦韆吧。”

小狗就那麼做了。

“I’m too small！” wailed Puppy。

“I can’t dig a hole big enough to play in。”

“我太小了！”小狗哭著說。

“我不能挖一個足夠大的洞在裡面玩。”

Chipmunk said， “This is just right for my acorns。

Will you let me use it？”

And Puppy did。

花栗鼠說，“這裡正好可以放我的橡果子。

你能把它給我用嗎？”

小狗就那麼做了。

“I’m too small！” wailed Puppy。

“I can’t hammer on the workbench。”

“我太小了！”小狗哭著說。

“我不能在工作臺上敲打。”

“You can fit under it and fix the leg，” Daddy said。

“Will you？”

And Puppy did。

“你可以在桌子下面修理這條桌子腿，”爸爸說。

“可以嗎？”

小狗就那麼做了。

“I’m too small！” wailed Puppy。

“I can’t carry my chair。”

“我太小了！”小狗哭著說。

“我拿不動我的椅子。”

“But you can carry my sewing basket，” said Grandma。

“Please do。”

And Puppy did。

“但是你能拿動我的縫紉袋子，”奶奶說。

“請吧。”

小狗就那麼做了。

Mama helped Puppy get ready for bed。 “Today，” she said，” you have reached a cookie on the table， pulled a wagon full of dear ones， swung on a swing， dug a hole for acorns， fixed a leg on the workbench， and carried a sewing basket。 Do you know why？”

媽媽幫助小狗準備上床睡覺。“今天，”她說，“你夠到了桌子上的餅乾，拽動了裝滿小可愛

的手推車，蕩起了鞦韆，為橡果子挖了一個洞，修好了工作臺的一條桌子腿，並且拿動了一個縫紉袋子。你知道為什麼嗎？”

“Why？” asked Puppy。

“Because you are just the right size！” said Mama。

And she gave Puppy a hug， a kiss， and a squeeze。

“為什麼？”小狗問。

“因為你現在個頭剛剛好！”媽媽說。

然後她給了小狗一個擁抱，一個親吻，和一個緊緊的擁抱。
