今天我們來聊一聊時間time的表達。關於time的表達真的超級多，比如我們之前也分享過的high time，表示該是時候做某事了。

其實，time的搭配很簡單，也很好用，所以如果能夠好好的記一下，應該對你的口語提升會有一定的幫助喲！

1）time off

我們知道Time’s up表示“時間到了”，那“time off”是什麼意思呢？

off常用於表示離開，脫離；那time off就表示是時候離開了，所以time off表示：

take a holiday from work——是時候停止工作去度個假了。

跟它相對應的是我們的節假日或者是每週的休假日，我們也可以要

叫做day off。

英語例句：

① He has to take time off because of heavy pressure.

由於壓力太大，他不得不休假。

2）Only time will tell

這句話咔咔覺得非常的有意境，Only time will tell means we can not find out the truth or the answeryet but we can wait and then we will find out in the future。

現在有可能我們找不到答案，找不到解決方法，但是隨著時間的推進，我們總會找到答案的，時間會告訴你真相，時間會告訴你一切的，這就是Only time will tell。

英語例句：

① Only time will tell whether you made the right decision.

只有時間才能證明你的決定是否正確。

3）Time heals all wounds

其實從字面意思大家也能猜到，

時間能夠治癒所有的傷痕。

Our feelings or hurts will leave us as time passes by。

這句話一般用於描述一些emotional hurt——情感上的受傷，一般不用於physical hurt——身體上的傷害。

英語例句：

① I know it's hard to let it go, but time heals all wounds.

我知道放手很難，但時間會治癒一切傷痛。

4） Turn back the hands of time

這句話是說“把時鐘的手給掰回來”，hand在這裡其實是“指標”的意思，因此，它的實際含義是：

If I could go back to the past，如果我能夠回到過去。

因為是假設，而且不可能實現的事情，它經常用於虛擬語氣的表達，比如這個英語例句：

① If I could turn back the hands of time, I wouldn't have done it.

如果我能讓時間倒流，我就不會這麼做了。

* I wouldn’t have done表示我那個時候不會做某事。（用於對過去的虛擬語氣）
