掌握時間的各種提問方式及回答方法，提高日常口語能力。

一、對時間進行提問，通常有以下幾種方式：

What time is it？

What is the time？

Do you have the time？

Do you know what time it is？

二、更有禮貌的表達方式，特別是對於陌生人：

Can you tell me what time it is， please？

Could you tell me the time， please？

三、對時間進行提問的句式：

What time…？

When。。？

四、對時間提問常用的回答：

1、用整點來回答，常用的格式是 It is/it's + 數字 + (o’clock /…:00)，省略o'clock 的回答比較不正式，例如：

It is five o’clock。 （5：00） 或 It’s five。

It’s ten o’clock （10：00） 或 It’s ten。

It is seven o’clock （07：00） 或 It’s seven。

It’s one o’clock （01：00） 或 It’s one。

2、用半個小時來回答，常用的格式是 It is half past + 數字，“數字 + thirty”的回答比較不正式，例如：

It is half past eleven。 （11：30） 或 eleven thirty。

It is half past seven。 （ 07：30 ） 或 seven thirty。

It is half past one。（ 01：30 ） 或 one thirty。

3、用一刻鐘回答，常用的格式是 It is (a) quarter past … (某個小時過一刻鐘) 和 It is (a) quarter to … (某個小時前一刻鐘)，“數字 + fifteen/forty-five”的回答比較不正式，例如：

It is （a） quarter past eight。 （8：15） 或 eight fifteen。

It is （a） quarter to three。 （02：45） 或 two forty-five。

It is （a） quarter past twelve。 （12：15） 或 twelve thirteen。

4、用其他的方式回答，分鐘數在1到30之間的用 past，在30到60之間的用 to，常用的格式是：

a、It is （it’s） … minutes past /to …，例如：

It’s three minutes past seven。 （07：13）

It’s eight minutes past one。 （01：08）

b、It’s + hour + minutes，例如：

It’s eight fifty-five。 （08：55）

It’s seven thirteen。 （07：13）

It is two fifty-one。 （2：51）

It’s one zero-eight。 （01：08）

五、在英語中通常不用24小時制，用 a.m.(am) 和 p.m.(pm)，a.m. 用於早上，p.m. 用於下午和晚上，例如：

3am = Three o’clock in the morning = 早上3點

3pm = Three o’clock in the afternoon =下午3點
