說我愛你的一百種方式 How to Say I Love You in English

10:42

Well, hello, I‘m Emma from mmmEnglish! Today I’m gonna share some different and some more meaningful ways to say “I love you”。

大傢伙,我是 Emma,歡迎來到美味英語頻道!今天我要給大家分享一些不同的、也更有意義的方式來說“我愛你”。

Now, of course, it‘s lovely to say “I love you” but it’s a really overused expression in English。 I don‘t know if you’ve noticed but we use it a lot to talk about friends, family members, pets, places, even food。

當然了,只是說“我愛你”也是很棒的,但是這個表達在英語中有點被過度使用了。我不知道你們是不是注意到了,但是我們會用它來談論朋友啊,家人啊,寵物啊,地方啊,甚至是食物。

We use it all the time! So when the time comes to really deeply and genuinely mean it, there are some better English phrases to use, stronger and more meaningful ways to express your love。

我們總是在使用它!所以到了真的要更加深情更加真摯的情況,就有一些更好地英語短語可以使用,更加強烈的、更加有意義的方式表達你們的愛。

Let me show you! It really doesn‘t matter who you love, love is love。

讓我給大家展示一下吧!不管你愛的是誰,愛就是愛。

But you can use these expressions to help you share that feeling with whoever you love but since it’s Valentine‘s Day, let’s start deep, deep and meaningful。

Have you heard of that word ‘deep’ being used to talk about emotions?

但是你可以使用這些表達來幫助你和你愛的人表達那種感覺,但是因為是情人節,所以讓我們更加深刻一點,更加有意義一點吧。你聽說過“deep”這個單詞來談論情感嗎?

Strong emotions, really personal feelings that affect you deeply inside。 Later on, I‘m going to share some expressions that are casual, perhaps a little more appropriate to the start of a relationship when you don’t want to be too serious about your feelings。

強烈的情感,非常個人的情感,非常強烈地影響著你的內心深處。接下來呢,我會分享一些非常隨意的,可能是在剛開始一段關係時更加適用的表達,因為你這時候還不想太嚴肅地談論自己的情感。

Plus, I‘m gonna share one that’s often used incorrectly。 It‘s kind of outdated but it gets overused by English learners。

除此之外,我要分享一個經常被錯誤使用的。它已經過時了,但是卻被英語學習者過度使用。

I definitely don’t think that you should use it。 In English, we can go beautifully deep with some idioms that we use to say “I love you” and my personal favourite is “I love you to the moon and back”。

我覺得你們絕對不可以使用。在英文中,我們可以使用一些說“我愛你”的習語來表達深刻的愛意,我最喜歡的就是“我對你的愛可以往返月球(我超級超級愛你)”。

So we‘re taking “I love you” and we’re making it even more special with this expression。 We‘re taking that love to the moon and all the way back again—that’s a long way!

所以我們說的是“我愛你”,這個表達可以使其聽起來更加特別。我們說的是愛可以去往月球,還可以從月球再回來——這可是一段很長的旅程!

That distance is expressing how much love we have but just in case you were thinking about some other far-off destinations, don‘t switch it。 Okay it doesn’t work with other destinations。

那段距離表達的是我們的愛有多少,但是以防萬一你們想換成其他的遠的地方,要跟大家說一下可不能換哦。換成其他的目的地就不是這個意思啦。

I love you to the shops and back。 It hasn‘t really got that same romantic vibe about it, does it?

我對你的愛可以往返超市。這裡就沒什麼浪漫的感覺了,對吧?

When you’re talking about love, when you‘re talking about a deep love, we need to express the scale of it, you know, like how enormous are those feelings, how enormous is that love?

I really love hearing how idioms translate across languages, so I want to know if you’ve got any of your own that you use in your own languages to talk about this deep beautiful love。

當你要談論愛的時候,當你要談論深切的愛的時候,我們需要表達它的量級,就像是那些感覺有多麼強烈,愛意有多麼濃一樣,對吧?我真的很喜歡聽到習語在不同的語言中是怎麼翻譯的,所以我想知道你們在自己的語言中用這種類似的來表達深深的愛。

If you can, write it into the comments below。 I want you to write it in your own language but then translate it into English as well。

如果可以的話,那就寫在下方的評論區吧。我想讓大家用自己的語言寫,但是也要翻譯成英語哦。

Many times I think that other languages do a much better job of translating or expressing those feelings of love and passion so I‘m definitely looking forward to reading yours in the comments。

In English, you might hear people say “You make my world go round”。

很多時候我覺得其他的語言能更好地傳達愛意,所以我非常期待在評論區看到大家的評論。在英文中,你可能聽到大家說“你讓我的世界轉動(你真的很重要)”。

Our planet goes around the sun and this creates night and day and the seasons。 So many things that are really, really important to our survival, you know, we rely on our planet going around the Sun。

我們的行星圍繞太陽運轉,這帶來了白天夜晚和四季變換。很多事情對於我們的生存而言是非常重要的,我們依賴於我們的星球圍繞太陽運轉。

And in English, there are two things that make the world go round which means they’re extremely important。 Without them, we can‘t function, we can’t survive。

在英語中,有兩件事情非常重要。沒有了他們,我們就不能運轉,我們就不能生存。

Now money is one of those things。 You might have heard that expression before, “money makes the world go round”。

錢是其中之一。你可能之前聽說過這個表達,“有錢能使鬼推磨”。

But thankfully, love is the other thing that makes the world go round。 So we say to the person that we love “You make my world go round”。

慶幸的是,愛是另外一件“讓地球轉動”的東西。所以我們對自己愛的人說“你讓我的世界轉動”(你真的很重要)。

Alright, to that person when you tell them that they make your world go round, you‘re telling them that they’re incredibly important to you。

You‘re saying that you can’t function without them。

好的,當你對別人說他們讓你的世界轉動的時候,你就是在告訴他們他們對你很重要。你說的是沒了他們,你根本不行。

A really important note for my English learners watching, this expression is not used with the word ‘around’。 “You make my world go around” sounds really odd, okay?

在看節目的我的英語學習者們,要提醒大家非常重要的一點就是,這個表達不能和“around”一起使用。“You make my world go around”聽起來很奇怪,對吧?

It‘s just “You make my world go round”。 Just a little reminder because that’s an easy mistake to make。

就是“You make my world go round”。就是簡單提醒大家一下,因為很容易犯這個錯誤。

You can also say “You are my world。” “You are my everything”。

你也可以說“你就是我的世界”。“你是我的一切”。

So these are both more romantic ways of saying you‘re the most important thing or the most important person in my life。 “We were made for each other” 。

這都是說你非常重要,或者是說是我生命中最重要的人的浪漫的表達方式。“我們是天造地設的一對”。

This idiom is about destiny and fate。 Of all the people in this whole world, it’s as if we were designed and created specifically for each other。

這個習語是關於命運的。世界上那麼多人,好像我們就是為彼此而生一樣。

There is no one else in the world more perfectly suited。 Interestingly you can also use this expression to talk fondly about someone else‘s relationship but to say that they are perfect for each other。

世界上沒有其他人更加合適了。有趣的是,你也可以使用這個表達來討論別人的關係,說他們是天造地設的一對。

They’re made for each other。 This is unlike the other idioms that I mentioned。

他們為對方而生。這和我提到的其他習語是不一樣的。

You can‘t say “They love each other to the moon and back”。 That’s weird。

你不能說“他們對對方的愛可以往返月球”。那很奇怪。

But you can use this one to talk about your own relationship but also other people‘s。 I’d be lost without you。

但是你可以使用這個來討論自己的關係和其他人的關係。沒有你在我根本不知道怎麼辦才好。

This expression is not just about love, it‘s about showing your appreciation for someone that they’re so significant in your life, that you don‘t know what you would do without them。

So you could even use it if someone did something for you that really helped you out, like they helped you to move house when you’d broken your arm。

這個表達不只是關於愛的,是表達你對某人的感激,他們在你的生活中非常重要,如果沒了他們,你不知道要怎麼辦。如果有人為你做了某件事情,真的幫了你很多的話,比如說他們在你摔斷胳膊的時候幫你搬家,你甚至也可以使用它。

Then you could say to that person “I‘d be lost without you。 I don’t know how I would have done it。”

然後你就可以和那個人說“如果沒有你我根本不知道怎麼辦。沒有你,我根本不知道該怎麼辦。”

So with all of these beautiful expressions in mind, why don‘t you practise using them by writing your lover a little English love note? It’s Valentine‘s Day after all。

有了這些漂亮的表達,為什麼不練習一下,用英語給你的愛人寫個小小的愛心小便條呢?畢竟是情人節啊。

There is no better time to be practising expressing your love for someone in English, even if your partner doesn’t know much English, they‘re going to be blown away by how much love and effort went into that little note。

If you want some extra writing tips from me then check out this lesson up here。

這是用英語表達愛意的最好的練習的時間了,即使你的伴侶並不怎麼懂英語,他們肯定會被那小小的便籤中的愛意和努力所打動的。如果你想學習額外的寫作技巧的話,那就看一下這節課程吧。

Now let’s go way back to the start of a relationship when you‘re full of passion and lust。 Have any of you just started a relationship with someone and you’re still in the early days?

讓我們回到一段關係的開始,當你充滿著激情和慾望的時候。你們有沒有人剛和別人開始一段關係呢?

Do you love them yet? Or maybe you‘re falling in love?

你愛他們嗎?你是不是陷入愛情之中了?

Even just saying “I love you” can be scary, it’s like a huge commitment, right? Maybe you‘re a little worried that the other person’s not ready to say it back to you。

僅僅是說一句“我愛你”都有點嚇人,因為那是非常重的承諾,對吧?可能你有點擔心另一個人不會和你說同樣的話。

So you might want to keep it a little light, you know, maybe you don‘t want to go so deep。 So let’s try a few less formal, less serious expressions。

所以你可能想說的稍微輕鬆一點,可能你並不想說的太深刻。那就讓我們嘗試一些不那麼正式的,不那麼嚴肅的表達吧。

I‘m crazy about you。 This is a less formal way of saying I love you。

我為你瘋狂。這是說我愛你的不那麼正式的方式。

If you’re not a hundred per cent sure whether the other person is ready to say “I love you” back to you then definitely go for this one。

It‘s going to show them that you’re pretty serious about your relationship and ready to take it another step further。

如果你沒有百分之百的把握另一個人準備好對你說“我愛你”的話,那就說這個吧。這會向他們展示你對你們的關係非常嚴肅,準備更進一步。

Whatever you do, do not say “I‘m head over heels for you”。 I think that that’s a really weird and old-fashioned way of telling someone that you love them。

不管怎麼著,不要說“我為你神魂顛倒”。我覺得那樣來告訴某人你很愛他們非常奇怪,也很老套。

It‘s written in lots of English language textbooks so I want to know if other native English speakers, if you’re watching, if you agree you would never tell someone “I‘m head over heels for you”, right? It’s more something that you would observe in another couple。

很多英語教課書中是這麼寫的,所以我想知道是不是其他的英語母語者,如果你們在看的話,你們是不是同意你們永遠不會和別人說“我對你神魂顛倒”,對吧?這是你會在其他情侶身上看到的。

Maybe if your teenage son had just started dating a girl and you know, they were really really cutely in love and you might tell your friends “They‘re head over heels for each other。” They’re just crazy about each other。

可能是你十幾歲的兒子,剛剛開始和女孩約會,你知道,他們的愛還很可愛稚嫩,你可能告訴你的朋友“他們對對方神魂顛倒”。他們為對方瘋狂。

I think ‘crazy about you’ is a little more contemporary, you know? ‘Head over heels’ is a bit old-fashioned。

我覺得“為你瘋狂”更現代一點,懂嗎?但是“神魂顛倒”有點點過時。

One that is definitely not cheesy is “I adore you”。 This is a sweet, lovely way of letting someone know that you love them, that they hold a special place in your heart。

不錯的一個表達是“我很喜歡你”。這是讓別人知道你愛他們,他們在你的心中有著特殊的地位的很甜蜜很可愛的方式。

I‘m falling for you。 If you’re not quite ready to say the words “I love you”, then these ones are a good option because we use them when you‘re in between really liking someone and loving them so of course, the expression relates to that idea of falling in love which is something I talked about in more detail in this video up here and so, you know,

“I’m falling for you” is like, you know letting someone know that it‘s happening, you know, this idea of love and falling in love。

我為你沉迷。如果你還沒有完全準備好說“我愛你”的話,那麼這些是很好的選擇,因為當你在非常喜歡某個人和愛他們之間這個狀態的時候,我們就會使用它們,所以當然了,這個表達和陷入愛情是有關係的,我在這個影片中有詳細談論過,“我愛上你了”就像是,你讓某人知道這件事情正在發生,就是慢慢地陷入愛情。

It’s happening。 It‘s in the process。

這在發生。這正在進行中。

So today’s the day my friends, the day of love if you‘re watching this video as I release it。 So I want to know do you have plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day today?

今天是非常重要的一天,我的朋友們,這是愛情的一天呢,如果你們在看我釋出的這個影片的話。我想知道你們有什麼計劃慶祝情人節嗎?

Do you usually celebrate? Or maybe you have a completely different day to celebrate love in your country。

你通常會慶祝嗎?或者是在你們的國家有另外一天慶祝愛情呢。

Or maybe you‘re like me and you think that Valentine’s Day is all commercial garbage and that actually every day is a day to show love to your partner。
